Magical Mommy and Me Mini Sessions in Chicago and Suburbs: Photographer’s Favorites - Photo Collection
Recently while scrolling tik-tok I came across a super cute idea: A photo background made of floating flowers. So, of course, I had to try it.
I secured locations and started collecting supplies for the mini sessions.
Making the floating flowers turned out easier than I thought and required minimal supplies.
Fake flowers, flower tape, fishing line used for hanging, painters tape.
These may have been my very favorite mini sessions, the photos could not have turned out more beautifully and it was such a blessing to witness so many mamas and babies.
We all know that Moms need to get in the picture more, and I absolutely love providing that creative space.

Avery Integrative Women’s Health Center - Evergreen Park
Avery is the brain baby of a local, fantastic midwife with years of experience in helping women - Mary Kay Burke. She currently takes care of pregnant mamas at Little Company of Mary and at her small business.

When I arrived at Avery there was a super cool and colorful window display, so I decided at the very last moment to dismantle it - with Mary Kay’s blessing of course - and create a new flower photography set.

The last of the Magic of Motherhood Minis were hosted in Arlington Heights.
These minis were hosted by a long time client and colleague, whose family I’ve been fortunate enough to document through the years.

Loved having the option of two backgrounds and the deep green wall for some more dramatic photos and then the super clean and fun space for the hanging flowers.
Cannot wait to do this again but with a different theme. I’m thinking Summer Baby Milestones.
